We celebrated Noah's 6th Birthday back in December with a Camp Out Party!
Brandon wasn't thrilled with the idea of spending the night in our backyard with a lot of 6 year olds, so we decided to have a day time party. This way, he could invite more and the parents could hang around, too.
I started out with these invitations {customized for Noah, of course} from The Homespun Hostess on Etsy. She was so easy to work with and the invitations turned out adorable!
I have found that, with our children, if they're in the backyard they mainly want to just play. They're not overly interested in organized games. With that in mind, I decided to keep our activities to just roasting hot dogs and marshmallows, eating cake and Noah opening his presents.
For decorations I used the same idea from our Christmas banner to make banners for the party. I used burlap for the triangles. I painted the letters using my stencils in navy blue. After they had dried, I hot glued the triangles to dark brown grosgrain ribbon. I had 3: "Camp Noah", "Vittles" and "S'Mores". {I hot glued the banners to the brick & window and then we tied the 3rd banner to the strand of lights we have hanging around our awning.}

I was able to use jars and platters that I already owned as well as twine around the jars and fabric for table cloths. A camp lantern and cooler were added for extras.
There was a table set up close to the fire pit that held a platter of hot dogs, a jar of marshmallows and our skewers.
The S'Mores table held graham crackers and chocolate bars as well as trail mix and our cakes - "Cake in a Jar".

The "Vittles" table had our Solo cups & plates, hot dog buns and fixin's, popcorn, lemonade and water.
It was a super easy party to put together and turned out super cute! The kids had a blast and I was able to relax and enjoy myself. Party success!
